Lag problems

Recently me and a few other people have been having a bit of lag in the server. Is there anything that can be done about this because my comp is bad enough already,i dont need the extra lag on top of that to

ys I am one of those, it's not excessively bad but it's bad enough to make me die a lot, Some people have been askin if it's laggy, and since I have been laggy I have said i'm lagging, is this somethin to do with the server? I'm not as laggy on other things and My comp and internet is fair good yer.

I've been getting some lag spikes in CoD4, and only CoD4. I am unable to instance any new connections after these spikes start happening: This prevents me from using Internet Explorer (or in this case Chrome), on ANY of my networked computers or refreshing my server list in CoD4. Sometimes I will be able to join a server in my favourites, but it might take 7 or so connection attempts. After leaving it alone for a while it will continue to work normally; if I restart my modem it works as soon as it starts back up. Turning off my computer doesn't fix the problem (ie. its not something running in the background using up all my bandwidth) AND my friend (DropBear) is having the exact same problem, on a different ISP with a different connection type (ADSL v. my Cable). He is also in a different part of NSW. This prevents me from connecting to new servers (after it stops working); however it does not kick me off a server I am already connected to, or break my ventrilo connection (but if I were to leave the ventrilo server and attempt to reconnect it would not let me). I am using Windows 7, but XP also seems to have this issue. Anyone feel that they have a similar issue after playing CoD4 for ½ an hour or so? Computer specs don't seem to play an issue in this problem, or the connection speed (10mb line speed). PunkBuster has been manually updated to the latest release AND CoD4 is patched to the latest release. Happened before and after the PunkBuster update, never tried CoD4 without patching it.it.

Maybe the server got some internet problems? Or maybe you are all capped

Its not an issue with being capped, it only happens while and after playing CoD4. My line speed is still at maximum

I'm capped and since ma cod 4 stuffed up i had to reinstall and now can't download patches >< so i have to wait a while ...... =(

That's a downer, but is anyone still lagging?

Nope But I am capped now untill Monday whole weekend capped I got Capped on Friday at around 6pm and i get uncapped on Sunday at 11pm. SUX

The lag issues seem to have stopped, but I know of a few other people who had the exact same problem as me. I think it was an issue with punk buster, but even then, restarting my computer had no effect on the network congestion, so I don't know the exact cause.

Thelag issue on our server have neen solvd, by ourserver being SHUT DOWN
